Exyn shares gift of autonomy to Outback

Partnership brings sci-fi drone tech to Aussie mining industry Metal Tech News – Nov. 25, 2020

The award-winning and rapidly growing autonomous drone company, Exyn Technologies, gains Australian market exposure by partnering with C.R. Kennedy, one of the largest providers of survey equipment for mining in Australia.

As Exyn's first international distributor, C.R. Kennedy will make the company's autonomous aerial robot systems for complex, GPS-denied environments available to mining and other industrial sectors Down Under.

As one of the world's most prolific mining continents, Australia is a prime location for Exyn to branch out and let its drones show the worth of the futuristic aerial robotic systems it has to offer.

"When discussing with our surveying customers, the real need was a product that would map and navigate their underground caverns, much like what they saw in the blockbuster movie 'Prometheus'," said Clinton Harn, head of marketing at C.R. Kennedy. "The ability to make science fiction a reality is very appealing, inspiring, and most importantly, possible – that much was clear after Exyn first demoed their product to us."

Exyn's latest generation of autonomous aerial robots, the ExynAero is the present pinnacle of modern technology, combining Exyn's proprietary ExynAI software, the newly minted ExynPak for ease of use and its state-of-the-art camera system.

"We're excited to be expanding into the Australian market with this relationship with C.R. Kennedy to help a whole new set of customers," said Exyn Technologies CEO Nadar Elm. "The opportunity to continue to advance the technology in the mining sector with this new market is important for the continued evolution of mining and our business."

Exyn's autonomous drones are most commonly used for industrial applications such as mining, construction, infrastructure inspection and even military surveillance and reconnaissance.

With this new customer partnership, Exyn is poised to continue its work in key industries and push the field of robotics forward.

"We're confident that the ExynAero will be able to help bring their visions of 'Prometheus'-inspired tech to life," finished Elm.
